Pumpkin Carving Tips
-Draw your design on your pumpkin with a water based marker. That way, when you cut, even if you don’t cut some of the lines off you can wash the marker off-Cut the lid at an inward angle. This way the top won’t cave in when the pumpkin shrinks.-Remove the seeds -Start with the cutouts in the center of the pumpkin and work your way outwards. -Flatten a spot inside the pumpkin for a candle but don’t cut too deep or it will rot quicker.-To help make the pumpkin last longer, load Vaseline on a Q-Tip and run it along all the edges that you cut on. This helps slow down the dehydration process and your pumpkin will last longer.
